Refurbished - TP2 - What can i know from it? Not new :( *sad*

Well happy that i just got a TP2! WOO.

It's refurbished however. Not sure what that means. Do I get a NEW battery with it?

It says manufacture date 8/12/09
Refurbishment date: 11/17/2009

anything else?

what can i figure out from this?

How and who did you get it from? That might reveal a lot.

Press your green phone key and then type in ##778# and then press view...it will tell you all that stuff in there. It's a secret thing that HTC put in there so that Technicians and stuff can see how much data, calls and if the phone has been refurbished etc.

Mine says :

Manuf Date - 29-Sept-2009
Refurb date - <No Data>
Refurb status - No

Basically if it says anything in the refurb date or status other than what i have above your unit is refurbished. I got mine new thank god...I had a Touch Pro for 4 months (4 replacements) and Sprint took care of me.

For the original poster, no you probably won't get a new battery. If your phone came in a new box with new stuff (Charger, USB, Battery) then it would be new, but since your post says Refurb date of 11/09 then its refurbished, but it might have a new battery...no way to tell.
