opera question?

ok....u know how when u r getting off the 'net/opera and u just click the "x"......does it drain your battery or do anything negative to phone because i have found that programs are actually still running? i have found that the only way to close all programs is to click the arrow at the bottom right and then the last thingy and then close opera or something like that. i had a clean ram cab but lost it when i upped my mem card but am now workn on gettn old mem card stuff onto new one....sorry for rambling guys so i'll 'shut up' now.....
