Plugging standard miniUSB to TP2

Hi,

I just plugged in a Miniusb cable to my TP2 and it started to sync up. I didnt notice this until a couple hours had passed.

Does anyone know if the standard USB/mini USB cable works with the phone. I dont want to zap the phone.

um.. duh?

I guess I should say welcome to owning a windows mobile phone with that question.

The only reason the cable that comes with the phone is custom shaped is to limit its use with HTC phones only. A standard mini usb cable will also fit the phone.

Hey bro... Take easy on the n00b. That was an honest question. Although he sould have used the search feature on this site to find the answer. Not all of us have the same knowledge or understanding. His user name is clearly labled n00b for a reason.
I know I was a n00b once and so were you even if you knew everything as a n00b.

You know, not trying to be a bitch or anything, but I wish people would take it easy on the n00bs. Not saying anyone HERE is being a jerk, but like Paul said, we were all n00bs once & it's very offputting to get jumped on by the 1337s just for asking an honest question. Think of how many new people have been hurt & offended by snippy responses, and imagine how many promising new geeks have been scared away by rude remarks like "DUH use teh search button N00B!". Yes, they should search first, but jeez, give 'em a break. I see so many rude remarks to honest questions on here & it really irritates me.
