Re: Weather Update Causes Shift in Time Zone
Yup, I've found that if I use "My Location" as the time displayed on the home screen the time zone randomly changes. Once I set a specific location (Touch the clock, select Add City, add a specific city, and make it the default) then time time zone stays correct.

Re: Weather Update Causes Shift in Time Zone
Okay... I guess mine was caused by something else. iGo8 was set to sync the timezone with the OS. I added a parameter in the sys.txt file and now everything is working great!

Re: Weather Update Causes Shift in Time Zone
It's nice to know I can put in a work around to deal with this pretty darn annoying problem. However, I would like to know if anyone knows what causes this or knowos of an actual fix...
It would really be nice to get this working as intended...

Re: Weather Update Causes Shift in Time Zone
Well scratch that last post from me...I just updated to MR 1/13 and the problem returned. Went back to 1/10 and the problem was there. Can't figure out what I did before to fix it.
Anytime I set my timezone through Clocks and Alarms to be in Central US Time (GMT-6) it reverts back to Eastern US Time (GMT-5) whenever my weather is updated. Tried many things off of a fresh install with and without doing Sprint provisioning... I know I can just sidestep the issue by manually setting my location to a specific city, but it is so annoying not having the program work the way it was meant to >_<. |
