Re: Signal Strength Woes??
The exact answer seems to be a little allusive here. I have a replacement now (lol@my bricking adventure) and the stock ROM is kicking. The SS is usually one bar short of max in my house; in fact, I've never had a Sprint phone/ROM/Radio combination perform so well here in my sunny coffin.
A point about the AirRave. Yeah, it's a great add-on if it works for you. My only problem with it is that it will only "switch" from AirRave to Tower. This means that if you're on a call over the AirRave and move into Tower range, it will switch to the Tower; but not the other way. So when I used the AR, I had to make sure I didn't go too close to the front of my house, or it would switch over & I couldn't leave the front wall of my house or the call would drop. Hell, here was my solution: I snagged a bluetooth enabled wireless phone system & set it up where my Sprint signal was great. I BT-connect my TP2 with the base station & then I can receive and make Sprint calls via the wireless handset. The system also allows you to connect a land/VOIP line. FTFW!! |

Re: Signal Strength Woes??
I do not know If I should disclose this ......but out of all TP2 ROMs , MR.X gets the best signal strength and fastest download speeds especially his last ROM.
I do not know any relationship between the signal and the ROM for a certain radio. but apparently ....there is a relationship.

Re: Signal Strength Woes??
Seeing as someone else brought this back from the dead; is anyone still getting poor reception with their TP2? My TP can make calls where my TP2 can't. Seems strange.
