I have run it with MightyRom CDMA ROM for TP2 on Sprint . It works very smooth and fast with WM 6.5 , but you probably will experience some bugs over time such as notifications, possible taskbar issues. I am not saying you definitely will but custom roms usually have a bug or two even when stable(which MightyRom seems to be the most stable custom ROM out for the TP2 cdma right now.

I reverted back to the crappy stock Sprint 6.1 Rom and Mobile Shell runs perfectly , except its not as fast as it is with the 6.5. But I never have issues with that MobileShell 3.5.2 on the stock ROM . I would love for Sprint or HTC to release CDMA WM 6.5 ROM so I could get the speed and stability . I think Mobile Shell does everything very well and lets me customize several screens with what I need use most frequently and it is super easy to make your own backgrounds .

Re: Why use SPB Mobile shell with custom roms out?

I use both Sense and Mobile Shell depending on my mood: http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/ea...bile-shell-35x

OP, mobile shell lets you customize the layout... with sense, you're pretty much stuck with a given layout. there are themes like max manila, but you're still heavily restricted in what you can do. MS is much easier to customize. Both are sweet! So I use both hehe

Re: Why use SPB Mobile shell with custom roms out?

I'm somewhat of a newbie with Mobile Shell 3.5.. .been switching back and forth lately, especially with that new shortcut CAB that was created.

I do like MS 3.5 quite a bit, however the one thing I don;t like is the weather. I like how the weather on the home screen on the SENSE UI/Touch Flo home screen updates automatically based on your GPS location AND is 100 time more accurate than the Mobile Shell weather widget. The MS Weather App also is inaccurate and doesn't provide accurate live temperatures for my location.

Is there another better weather widget app I can add to my Shell home screen that's like the Sense UI? Its the only thing keeping me from completely switching over to Mobile Shell.

Any and all info is truly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

My weather (in Mobile Shell) updates my location automatically (at least it did initially- I haven't been anywhere else while running it yet). My weather is also pretty accurate too.

I guess it depends on where you are or something...

How do you get it to update your location automatically? I always have to manually change the city depending where I travel to.

Thanks again!

Well I haven't travelled anywhere too far using SPB Mobile Shell yet. But when I first installed Mobile Shell, I never set my location- it just knew where I was.
