Re: Fix for iGuidance 2009 TTS
I assume this in reference to the recent ROMS breaking TTS (like Mighty's latest ROM). Am I correct or is this for something else?

Re: Fix for iGuidance 2009 TTS
Ok cool. I'll give this a try on latest WiseROM (28005 ROM built with Calkulin's latest kitchen) and see how it works. Thanks for the tip.
I think you should note that the location to be copied to is different if iGuidance is installed to the storage card: /Storage Card/Program Files/iNav/iGuidance/*.* Last edited by WisdomWolfX; 12-06-2009 at 08:20 PM. |

Re: Fix for iGuidance 2009 TTS
Ok, I figured out what causes this to fail in the first place.
Don't have the USB Cable plugged in for "Disk Drive" when you install or run the first time. It can't find the Speech Stuff on the Storage Drive when you do this. It wasn't working for me. The Steps I described above fixed it. Then I uninstalled it, cleaned out the files I copied. Reinstalled it and it worked fine without copying the file because I didn't have it plugged in. If all else fails try what I describe in opening post as there might be other situations that cause it to not file the DLLs (like maybe if you start it anytime the USB cable is plugged in). I always install to Device. There is probably a registry item that points where it thinks it is. By copying to the same directory it will always find it. Re: Fix for iGuidance 2009 TTS
FYI, running a HTC Touch Pro. My iguidance TTS hasn't been reading street addresses at all since I got this phone (running a 6.5 windows rom "NFans"). Yesterday I had my Blue Tooth "ON", and finally iGuidance TTS worked! I didn't even have my actual bluetooth activated just the bluetooth on via the com manager.
