Do you bother hard reseting after Flash?

Doesn't seem to make a bit of difference.

I think in the past it may have cleaned up some holes that have since been cleaned up.

Do you still bother to hard reset after it's all done?

I don't, but i wish i would have before loading up my phone with all my goodies. It seems as though im getting slower than par internet access. A hard reset may have cleared this up.

I bet I have flashed over 100 times & never once hard reset after the flash. My systems run perfectly, a flash IS a hard reset (it's like formatting a computer hard drive).

say what, your always posting something is wrong with your rom. i finially saw your phone is perfect now but thats not usually the case from what i read. not saying hardreset will fix your problems but cant hurt.

The kind of problems I post would not have gone away with another hard reset. I like to install cutting edge apps/ROM's etc & troubleshooting always goes along with that. Just out of curiousity, name a problem I have had that wouldn't have occured if I had hard reset again??

The only thing that was a real PITA lately was getting MMS to work right in a manila 2.5 ROM & NOBODY could get that working at the time.

When we finally realized what the fixes where (changing Arcsoft settings etc), you could have hard reset 100 times in a row & it wouldn't have changed anything.

Precisely. Has anyone ever seen a logical/factual explanation of the rationale behind doing a hard reset (or two) after flashing a rom? I sure haven't.

The point of a hard reset is to restore the phone and take it back to the state it was in when it was first flashed. This means that hard reset = same as when you flash a new rom.

It's pure superstition. It's like hanging a rosary from your rear view mirror.

If you know something I don't... please, by all means... prove me wrong.

I do if I remember to. I really have never noticed a difference if I do or don't though.
