Re: CERegEditor Behaviour ...
Edit the exported .cereg file and remove them. Notepad will work just fine.

Re: CERegEditor Behaviour ...
No offense, but I'm already aware of that method. It's time consuming when you have a registry tweak file that contains numerous pathway entries, each one containing numerous double backslashes.
You'd think the program would format the conversion correctly. I'm trying to find out if there's a setting somewhere that will stop this formatting error. |

Re: CERegEditor Behaviour ...
Further to my last post, the suggestion previous to that actually doesn't apply. The problem I'm having is not with the .cereg file. It's perfectly accurate. The problem is in the conversion from the .cereg file to a CAB file.
When it creates the CAB file, it adds the extra backslashes, which I cannot correct until I install the CAB on my mobile phone, and then modify each registry entry manually, in my case, using PHM Registry Editor. Considering that each of the numerous entry can be found throughout the entire registry, it can take me quite a while to manually delete one of all the double backslashes. Peter |
