htc touch hd

hi,

im thinking of buying a touch hd, but ive got a contract with '3' uk if i bought a touch hd and put my '3' sim card in it will i get the full use out of the network and phone, like will i be able to go on the internet etc.....

if anything what WONT i be able to do??

You wont be able to use 3G if your carrier has it.. Otherwise it should work

Yea no 3G if you live in the U.S., but if you live in the UK or England...go to XDA there is a bunch of INTERNATIONAL peeps who can help you out over there.

My Carrier in the US has 3G, I used it all the time with my HTC TyTN. I have a new, UK version of the Touch HD, I love it, but miss the 3G Speed.
Is there a way to turn on the 3G reciever modes in the HD for the US frequencies.
I of course could be wrong, but I imagine they are just waiting for FCC approval to actually sell it. I would guess there might be a ROM update some day.??
BUT is would be nice to have now! Thanks

Yeah well the European version (as far as I know does that have the capabilities of3g in the us not even if there is a rom update
