Backlight on External Power

I finally got my ProClip device holder for the mogul, but have found that when I have my phone plugged up to the vehicle charger and playing music, the screen will dim after a few minutes and then later just turn off (within 5-10 minutes at most). I have gone into the power settings and un-checked the "turn off" options related to being on external power but it is still doing this.

I want the screen to stay on with full backlighting when it is plugged into external power.

there is another setting under 'backlight' that controls how long until it dims...
