Mac > Windows = necessity of life. 100 million people using Microsoft products, so when you bring the ball, you get to choose the team.

Windows > Mac = a few hundred people being pissed off. Let's face it, Microsoft isn't going to go out of its way to make products that allow it convert all its stuff or sync its stuff to a Mac. Its got bigger fish to fry and more money/resources better used for the majority markets.

Apple realized this and TA-DA...they invent a mobile device that seemlessly integrates with their OS of choice.

The moral of the story is 2 pronged. One, if you want your Mac to sync with a device, it better have an Apple logo stamped on it somewhere.

Second, the consumer market is sometime tricked into buying Apple products because EVERYTHING from Microsoft is inferior and that you can do so much mor with Mac/Apple products.

But in reality, you are buying HANDICAPPED products and that can only use its features with Apple branded interfaces and resources. Look no further than the iPod. Why can it only play mp4's? It can play wma files but Apple saw fit to disable it at the factory! Not to mention there are dozens of other media players that are equal if not better, but at half the price.

Its all a big marketing game and we are the players. And if you aren't educated and making unbiased judgement on ALL products, then you aren't a player anymore. you are just a fool buying name brands.

In closing, I just have to say that I can't believe you are SURPRISED your Windows based device has trouble syncing with a Mac. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I just thought that would be so glaringly obvious from the start...to anyone.

Windows + Mac = it ain't going to work without a lot of problems. That should be elementary to any user of technology and its been the same way since Jobs and Gates openly declared war back in the early 80's when Jobs accused Gates of "stealing" the GUI interface from him.
