how keep slide2unlock type format as theme?

so, actually, out of everything i've seen thus far, the clean look of a picture i put as background for slide2unlock, with the clock above it, is the best looking 'theme' i've seen (imho, nothing against the iphone themes, et al, as i have grumps iphone theme on as well). however, i like my image. problem is that the htc home theme, while having a great clock, seems to have a translucent layer which bleaches my entire image. does anyone know how i can either reduce that, or just keep the nice clean look i get during the slide2unlock screen? i like the images i have, but the bleaching makes them awful...

If your using slide2unlock2 you need to replace the wallpaper.jpg file found in the gfx folder. open file explorer->program files->S2U2->gfx. Make sure you overwrite and rename your new background to wallpaper.jpg. Disable s2u2 and reenable and you should have your new background.

The wallpaper for landscape is wallpaperL.jpg and the same rules apply.
