Yes this is true. Think about it like this, if you didn't have free roaming they would charge you per minute. Al roaming does is enable you to not be charged extra for roaming on other networks outside of Sprint. Depending on when you use your minutes also counts. If you have unlimited nights and weekends and you call during that time it will go under those minutes therefore not taking minutes form anytime pot.

Thanks for the reply. Is it the same as if I use roaming if I have mobile to mobile? Most importantly, will it show up as anytime minutes under my current usage online? I don't want to get screwed over so I want to make sure.

The only time you get your minutes taken away is during the weekdays. Roaming mobile to mobile is the same as mobile to mobile. All roaming does is charge you per minute used. You have free roaming so you don't get that charge, everything else works the same. Roaming is charged by minute not reducing minutes.
