Wrong, you have to let it die, fully charge it, let it die, fully charge it, let it die, fully charge etc. Its a way to condition the battery.

Not with a lithium battery, you should have charged it fully first. You have probably shortened its life by not fully charging it the first time.

this is awesome, but ruins my seidio case and without the case i cant use the holster so this is a no go...

Wow, those battery myths are still around? While you can shorten the amount of times you can charge a battery by charging it frequently (i.e. charging it even if it's not close to dead), your battery isn't going to develop a "memory".
