Voice command and HTC Home plugin are what's using up your RAM. Mostly voice command followed up by HTC. These two are running in the background.
Go to VC's options and turn off start at startup and you'll see RAM increase at next startup. |

With VC1.6 running I'm at 18.81MB free. Without it running I'm at 21.92MB. That's only 3.11MB....not much at all.
Now I have renabled VC and available memory is up to 20.85MB from 18.8 in the same state! WTF!!! Now I'm I disabled the HTC Home plugin.....20.19MB free With everything back on...19.82MB free. I have some serious doubts about the accuracy of any memory reporting tool in WM6. |

I had a problem like that once. Do you text/email a lot? Sometimes the bulk of messages, attachments and crap in your inbox/outbox will remain in the page file system. I would clear your messages and save the attachments to your memory card, then reset the phone. This worked for me anyway...

You know... its really interesting. Some people experience the low RAM, others don't. I read of one person who has 25MB free and on the opposite end of the spectrum, there was someone with only 10 after a hard reset.
This is the single largest issue (besides not wanting to pay 549) that has kept me from getting a Mogul. My 6700 is at 29.04MB free on a hard reset and that's on the original Sprint ROM (haven't upgraded it since I just got my replacement today). |

Welcome to the club brotha. Memory...memory..memory.....
We have asked this question a lot in here. Best cure is run htc x button and try not to have to many programs at start up. Its really wm6.0 hogging all the memory and so far theres nothing we can do. But still... its a great phone. Ohh yes.. for all those HTC Touch guys who are thinking in getting rid of their moguls for it. Think again.. seems like it aswell has that memory issue. |
