ActiveSync 4.5 HTC Titan issues [post-search]
Hi guys & girls,
I'm having no luck Synchronising my PDA. I have Googled the problem, searched around here too, and read a number of similar threads. I appologise in advance for posting about something which has been done a number of times before, but sadly, none of those posts (as far as the 10 or 15 threads i read) contain a solution for me. So, before i go over what I've done, here's the science part: HTC TyTn WM5 PocketCM 0.13 HTC Home Dialler skin from zombienexus.net Audio Manager v1.02 SkinMobile5 I have tried with advanced networking on and off Soft and hard resetting with my PDA plugged in via USB. Synchronising using ActiveSync v4.5 on WindowsXP Pro SP2 // Symptoms: Upon connection to USB port, system detects a connection, but goes no further. ActiveSync will not synchronise, and i cannot access the device via windows explorer. Device cannot connect to the internet. Device receives power via USB. USB port works normally for all other devices (iPod, USB hard drive (i have tried other USB ports, also)) The ActiveSync info on my PDA tells me it's an 'Error 608' I have followed the instructions here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...r/port990.mspx I have been unable to synchronise since the 14th of this month, this is a number of days since the last item i installed on my PDA, so i doubt that is the issue, as it would have been a problem after soft-reset, which it was not. I have made no changes to my connection settings, configuration of either my PC or PDA. I have followed the directions of ActiveSync help (linked to MS page) with no luck. Booting in safe mode has made no difference. I have also un-installed ActiveSync, with a sweep of a registry cleaner (CCleaner), rebooted, and re-installed ActiveSync. // In closing: I really have no idea what has happened here, everything was fine, and then simply refused to work. If anyone can offer some advice, i'd greatly appreciate it. Last edited by Vector23; 09-19-2007 at 04:52 PM. |
Have you guys gone to Start\Settings\Connections\USB to PC and unchecked the checkbox? If not, give that a whirl.
