Copilot Live 8 compatibility...? Anyone using it?

So I've been looking at new GPS software (got tired of the annoyances of running iguidance, as well as the price of the new version) and I came across Copilot Live 8. It looks cool, BUT...

http://www.alk.com/copilot/compatibility.asp

They mention the older phones like the 6700 and 6600 being compatible, and of course the newer stuff can run it fine... but no mention of Titan or Mogul or 6800. That seems really weird. So yeah. Anyone using it or found it to not work with their Titan/Mogul?

Re: Copilot Live 8 compatibility...? Anyone using it?

I'm using it on my Verizon Omnia and it works perfectly. I was running Iguidance 4.0 on my Omnia but wanted the latest maps without having to pay $80. I bought Copilot Live 8 for $34.95 and now I can't even think of using Iguidance any more. The only thing I miss is Text To Speech with Street names, but I hear that's "coming soon". Hope that helps.

My coworker was running CoPilot on his Mogul. I know now he's using CoPilot 8 on his Touch Pro2. I'm not sure what version he was using on his Mogul..

Re: Copilot Live 8 compatibility...? Anyone using it?

Thanks, that's actually helpful. I was looking at some archive.org versions of their compatibility page, and even for copilot 7 in 2008, the mogul/titan/6800 wasn't listed. Maybe it's just something that was forgotten. ALK hasn't replied to my e-mail, and thanks to the PST/EST time difference, I haven't talked to them on the phone about this. I'll probably try calling them monday, but if they can't give me a straight answer, I'll try it anyways...

SO. I talk with the ALK telephone support specifically asking about support... and they say no. If it's not on the list, we can't guarantee support, etc. Asked if he knew anymore besides that, no. Hrm.

Meh... maybe I'll just buy it myself and see if it works on my Mogul, stock rom and all...
