CPU Question

Quick question: I've read that the Mogul uses a 400MHz Intel CPU, but I just noticed that it's listed under the TCPMP settings menu as a 385MHz ARM CPU.. sooo.. which is it?

It's a 400 Mhz qualcomm according to mine in settings/device info. It also scales as demand changes that's why your's showed 385.

The Mogul uses a Qualcomm 7500 chipset. I had a link to the specs, but I can't find it at the moment. My PPC 6800 shows that it is clocked at 400 MHz. I have read that the chipset has dual processors, but I think the second one is for DSP operations. If I find the link again, I'll post it.

Be sure to check out the links to the data sheet and diagram. Cool stuff.

Yeah.. mine shows the same in device info--as you can see I'm a bit of a nub to the platform. I just upgraded from a Treo 650. TCPMP is still reporting 385MHz, but I'll take that as CPU scaling in action. Thanks for the info and quick responses, appreciate it
