Java on Alltel PPC 6800

I apologize up front if this is something that's already been posted, I've tried to do my best to find information on this topic. I just got an Alltel PPC 6800 and was interested in checking out apps like google's gmail app, and opera mini, but can't seem to find any reliable information on a JVM for this platform. Am I missing something obvious, or is getting java apps to run on an alltel ppc 6800 as difficult as it's apearing to be? (I'm betting I'm just missing something
