Did they happen to say when it'd be on their site? I'm curious as to if it will be identical to the HTC release, or maybe a small bump in versions. (Although I'm sure it'll be the same thing, maybe just branded a bit for Alltel...)

constant roaming?

After doing the upgrade, I've got the roaming icon showing constantly. I've updated my PRL (*228 option 2) twice now, and the icon doesn't go away. Prior to the update, in this same location I never roamed once. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Try doing a *228, option 3, soft reset, then *228, option 2, soft reset... That fixed that issue for me.

WM6 upgrade

The Alltel rep did say that a little Alltel branding is involved. Did not advise the actual release date...hopefully any day now.

I'll bet it's the same download. It's already Alltel branded. Your talking to a rep that is clueless how things work. HTC and carrier together make each release.

I talked to a rep that said the same thing. She said it was released without Alltels O.K. and that they had to go over it before they suggest I update it on my phone.

Sidenote: I just updated to it... lol

In your expert opinions...should I wait until the actual release from Alltel or go ahead and run the HTC update? Thanks to all!

I've been running it since Tuesday morning, and I've had 0 issues with it (aside from a few issues with PHM, but no big deal...)
