prl 40007 and 40020

Anyone got these prls for alltel that you can post. I got a 6800 and would love to test those PRLs for Sprint EDVO roaming. My phone has 30008 on it and it will nto change doing a *228.

Just curious how these will work when traviling as compared to my 30008

I found this link in a thread a while back when I was looking for an updated prl for my sprint phone. I can't remember which thread it was in originally though. It goes to a site with a lot of different prls available to download for multiple cell companies (Alltel, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular)

Sorry for the noob ? but what are these PRLs? What exactly do they do? and how would I install them on my phone

PRL = Preferred Roaming List...

I am currently using 60610.

In order to update you will need your MSL (unlock code). If you do not have this, you will likley need to call *2 anyway because I don't think it's 0000000 anymore with the Sprint 6800 (at least mine isn't).

Once you get your MSL, simply dial ##775# (##PRL#) then tap and hold on PRL Update then tap Edit and browse for where you saved the PRL from the above link. You will then soft reset the device and verify by going into Settings/System/Device Information.
