the thread has taken a different course from what the original poster posted. Can you explain what it is that these last few pages of posting has achieved and who is it intended for (alltel only?, etc.) and what feature has been added?

Re: Alltel 6800 MMS and application issues

Did you try the new Alltel ROM? MMS works great for me after flashing. That and using Gnatsgosplat GPS work around this phone works awesome!

Re: Alltel 6800 MMS and application issues

I have the new ROM and still can not receive any types of video messages from any phone.

Although I have not began to dig into this issue yet, might try tomorrow at work...

Re: Alltel 6800 MMS and application issues

For All Alltel user's having trouble with MMS not working after upgrade. I have noticed that everyone is posting the wrong setting for the Arcsoft Program. The proper setting to get MMS working are as follows.
Server name=Alltel MMS
Gateway= mms.alltel.net
Port number= 8080
Server Address= http://mms.alltel.net/servlets/mms
WAP=2.0

Re: Alltel 6800 MMS and application issues

I have been reading and reading. Updated my 6800 with the new rom and can recieve pics and video but it still wont let me open the funny forwards that I use to get. Alltel said that I have to download a 3rd party app. Ok, I am clueless. Is there such a thing?

Yes I am a rookie at this!!!
