What if we ran our own MMS server. Would that still allow us to connect to users not using our MMS information? I've been looking at mbuni.org. The Alltel tech I spoke to today said I could probably just run my own MMS server.

It's a good idea, but I would imagine it would only send stuff to people on the same server. Cause a server has to have the support to be able to send to other servers. Like how it took a while for Alltel to let us send pics to Verizon. The server didn't support it. They had to integrate it into the server. You'd have to find a server that said it supported Alltel inorder for it to be worth it. And then it would be just what that server supported. I haven't really researched it much, so I don't know of any good server's to pic from.

There IS however a: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test] "WAP1DefaultSize"=dword:0004b000 "WAP2DefaultSize"=dword:0004b000 "SendDefault"=dword:0004b000 "RecvDefault"=dword:000fa000 "Gateway"="mms.alltel.com" "MmscURI"="http://mms.alltel.com/servlets/mms" "Name"="Alltel MMSC" "GatewayPort"=dword:00001f90 "ConnectionVia"="{436EF144-B4FB-4863-A041-8F905A62C572}" "WAPType"=dword:00000001 Edit: I guess I should put as a disclaimer; I have yet to actually have someone send me a picture message, or send one to a person...

Just saw this on HowardForums... looks like Alltel is having an issue with the picture messaging. Possibly a reason why your testing may not be working...
