Messaging Shortcuts (new in WM6?)

Just noticed a little 'easter egg' shortcut in the built in messaging program -

If you type on the keyboard, the program does a text search within your messages!

Plus, there are several press and hold shortcuts built in - e.g, press and hold 'K' to mark a message read. Press & hold 'H' to get the full list!

I had a 6700 for over a year and never noticed these... so I'm assuming these are new in WM6.

[I was pretty excited to find these because the built in messaging app is so crummy. Sorry if any of you already knew about them... I didn't see anything posted when I searched this forum.]
