WMDC (Vista Activesync) Does not recognize 6.5 ROMs

I’ve tried flashing “Version 2.1 Heavy” and “Version 2.2 Heavy” from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492214 (both WM 6.5 based). I also cooked a simple 6.5 myself. Vista WMDC does not recognize any of these and will therefore not allow me to sync.

When I flash back to DCD 4.1.2 (WM 6.1), syncing with WMDC functions fine.

Is there something I’m clearly missing? I have not found any similar problems searching ppcgeeks, xda-developers and ppckitchen.

Disregard – after 4 hours of switching and testing ROMs, Windows Update found a driver it liked. Everything works fine now.

yes I was having a hard time with this too... its still a bit goofy on my moms laptop and phone but I got mine working good on my laptop.

The hardest part was getting PDAnet to work properly over bluetooth but I ended up going with bluetooth DUN instead of pdanet
