maybe it is the adapter then. i bought a Sony one in japan for 500 yen, which is less then $5 USD. worked fine with my 8125

Ive had these headphones for a while and I don't think the music quality is that great compared to the plantronics 590. But ive gotten use to and it doesnt seem as bad as when I first got them.

With the 260, as opposed to the 590, it's critical to gain a 'tight' seal between
the occluded earbuds and your ear canal. With the 590's speakers it's not
an issue. Also, the 590 has a much more 'powerful' audio setup, larger
bluetooth antenna...and associated higher cost.

Of course driving with the 590 on is a "Pull Me Over Now" sticker on your bumper!
