Plantronics Pulsar 260 and Mogul

What a great stereo sound, this Bluetooth works great with my Mogul. I have watched a movie (War of the Worlds) and been listening to music all day and still going. I have made and received several phone calls no complaints from either end (yes I asked) even standing outside in the wind I got mine at Staples for $89.99

I have a 260 and it works great on my cooked xv6700.

Funny, I also use DVD movies to supply a form of automated playlists
while driving. The surf video from Quicksilver "Young Guns 2" has a killer
soundtrack.

Looks like I'll have to wait "at least" until October to order my xv6800,
btw. No problem though...my Apache works well for me.

i just got my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 today and they rock! bass and clarity are great and ive successfully paired them to my mogul and laptop with no problems.

i wonder how these compare to the 260. i was actually thinking of gettin the 260s but saw some unfavorable reviews.

The head set isn't really the greatest its a little uncompfertable for my ears, but you can use what ever headset you want if it has the 2.5 mm plug. The bluetooth receaver is the key to the whole thing, pluss I like that I can easily hook the bluetooth receiver to my axillary jack in my truck

that reminds me. i saw a review where the person tried to hook up their own buds using a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter and the sound only came out on one side. have you experienced this?

could it have something to do with the adapter that they were using? i like how it has a shirt clip though. something i with my SE set had.

Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970

These look similiar to the ones Big bought. Has anyone tried them both and can give a review?

Since 80% of my time is spent at my job, I need a kick azz headset. My main concern is definitely size. I cant have something so big that its noticed from a block away.

i did a TON of research for both and heres what I concluded:

Plantronics Pulsar 260

PROS:
-great battery life
-has shirt clip so its not swinging everywhere
-has 2.5mm port for use with other headphones
-small form factor

CONS:
-i hear its call and music quality is not that great
-one reviewer used their own headphones with a 2.5 > 3.5mm adapter and only got sound out of 1 ear. could be an adapter issue
-no LCD
-uncomfortable ear buds?

Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970

PROS:
-great music and call quality
-has a switch to pair with 1 device or multiple devices
-has LCD, but only displays numbers and not contact name
-very comfortable buds that block out almost all noise
-has a neck loop so it hangs around your neck (could be a con for some people)

CONS:
-has no clip so it swings
-sometimes has trouble switching from call mode back to music mode after a call
-i bought mine on ebay so i got a EU charger with adapter instead of US charger
-battery life is supposed to last 6 hrs continuous playback, but some
people have gotten 3-4 out of it. i havent personally tried it tho
-no option to use own earphones

hope this helps =]

i also wanted something small with ear buds because i sometimes wear glasses and hate over the ear types. i also prefer the sound of in ear buds as well.
