Favorites not saving in Internet Explorer!

I am asking this for my brother, as he comes to me for advice on his Windows Phone but I've not seen this before and can't figure out what's wrong!

He has a XV6800 on Verizon, running WM 6.1. When he tries to save a favorite site in Internet Explorer, it doesn't appear in his list of Favorites after that.

Let me know if there is additional troubleshooting info you need and I will ask him to provide it.
