I have found this as well. My work around was to assign the DeviceLock to the voice dial button and manually do it. I would prefer that it does it consistently on wake, but alas it is not that hard to just hit the button.

This is where I saw it:

I have never used it so if anyone tries it, let us know.....

Product Information
Phone ScreenLock is a small and very simple in use program. It will make your phone talks more comfortable. Now there is no risk to start another program because of a casual touch of the screen with a cheek or fingers. Phone ScreenLock program locks the screen until you hang up.

But it does not mean, that additional functions of your phone are inaccessible during a call. You can unlock your phone for the whole talk, or for the certain period of time after which the screen and the keyboard will be locked automatically again.

If you make many important phone calls and you do not want your talk to be interrupted because of a casual touch of the screen or buttons, Phone Screenlock is the best solution for you!

not a useless post at all!!!

Slidetounlock 1.19 has a major issue IMHO making it unusable beyond the memory hogging. Maybe I am doing something wrong because I assume others would report this experience as well...

I live on the coast and have serious coverage issues which may contribute, however with slidetounlock active when my phone is sleeping many times calls will not ring through. It is not consistent but happens often.

When I turn on the phone to use it - bang - all sorts of rings and messages simultaneously and multiple calls are missed and voicemail lights up. Not good for business... I have tried every reg tweak mentioned including:

Quote:
"If your device does not have any abnormal behaviour with the previous version, you may ignore these settings.

When "NoSuspendMode" is set to 1, the "OffLCD" & "ACOffLCD" will be disabled. It'll untouch the Power Management and leave it back to the OS.

When "SafeMode" is set to 1, iLock will not enter the "Unattended mode" (this is a special mode for the background jobs to run but without turning on the LCD). The device may need to soft-reset for "SafeMode" to be enabled."
and the phone still "freezes" when sleeping.

I have yet to find a solid program and resort to the stock today plug in (as ugly as it sounds).

The product mentioned above by Hobbes sounds enticing but the description is about locking the screen when talking not when sleeping...

The GREAT question remains... is there a simple, reliable program which locks the phone on power-off??

Works great. I assigned it to my comm manager button. Since we have a button to manually turn off and on wifi, using that button as a device lock is more convenient.

I like MoerSaver. When assigned a button it locks everytiong down, except the assigned button. ip power is pressed it shows klock and baterry status.

The MortPlayer is also verry cool.

Re: I need a locking program

Is there just some way i can assign a button (comm manager) to unlock and lock. I hate using the power button and would rather have it just lock and unlock it.

Check out DeviceLock. You can assign it to a button to lock it, but you'll still have to hit the on screen unlock button. It can be configured to unlock with out hitting the second on screen unlock button.
