How come my Mogul turns on by itself w/o pressing the power?

Sometimes my mogul just turns on by itself w/o me pressing the power button. It goes from standby to the screen going bright w/o me pressing a single button. I see this happen so many time especially when I'm charging the phone. I would put the phone on standby and let the phone charge. 10 minutes later, the phone would open itself.....

NOt sure is this is normal?

yea my phone does that too. I have no clue why either. Activesync is off... the data connection is off...etc. But it would wake itself out of standby mode often.

Almost every time this has happened to me it is due to entering/leaving roaming. What is a bit frustrating for me is that I can set the 6800 down on the table at home and it shows at least two bars. Then randomly it loses the bars and enters roaming. I have left the phone in one place untouched for hours at a time and watched this happen repeatedly. Go figure.

I don't think this has anything to do with roaming, theres been plenty of times that I've been sitting next to my phone and it simply cuts on

its not like its lost reception sitting there or anything

Welcome to the wonderful world of WM. It's a common bug that's been around for years.

There are lot of programs that update themselves via data connections. I think a lot of the waking ups that happens when the phone is just setting on the desk is a program trying to establish a data connection to download it's update (weather, news headlines, just checking for updates, etc....).
