Just because he is being proactive in preparing for another phone problem you guys jumped all over him.

I had a Titan that I could not find an "actual" problem with but it was amazingly slow, horrible keyboard response time. No amount of new ROMs or flashes fixed it. I intentionally bricked it and returned it to VZW. The fact is that they should have recalled the phone due to its poor performance, screen issues, and overall lack of video drivers.

So, again, wah.

EDIT: For the record, I have Asurion as well but have NEVER used it. I use VZWs warranty replacement.

Being proactive? LOL that's a stretch. Let's imagine that in another scenario. I call up my auto insurance (even tho nothing is wrong with my car and had no accident) and say "Somebody keyed my car all over it, I'm gonna need a new paint job, but could you paint it a different color? Thanks" And then he goes out and keys his own car. Just being proactive right??? LMAO it's insurance fraud, stop tying to butter it up.

Sucks you didnt notice it during the first few days when you could have taken it back...

The wifi would still works. Leave it next to your sofa in a living room for casual web browsing. It's cheaper than a laptop and very convenient.

Re: How to Brick a Titan

The reason I need to figure out how to brick it is I have the white spots on my phone caused by the overheating battery. Sprint and Assurion both tell me that they will not cover that problem anymore. Its rediculous that a manufacturing defect is not covered under a waranty and I think it is a load of crap personally.

My 6700 had so many constant problems I upgraded to the Titan. I figure it wont be any worse to upgrade to a TP and maybe eventually I will actually find a phone that will work consistently.

Save your ethics for someone else. Its not even remotely the same scenario. The difference is that your car was not sold to you BRAND EFFING NEW with a bad paint job. If it was, you'd take it bad to the original seller. (Which is what I have done with VZW) I have STILL never used Asurion and I'm on phone 22 with this carrier.
