External Antenna?

As everyone well knows there is an antenna connection on the back of the mogul, and every other brand. My question is can I make an antenna for this to boost my evdo data bandwidth like many of the popular EVDO laptop cards? If so, I am a do it yourself kind of person, I have found many prebuilt alternatives but I would like to make it myself. I have seen other people make them but I can not find for the life of me and single pole element antennas to buy!

The link for one manufacturer is here.

I read one time that someone had issues with getting a connection (both phone and data) after using this attachment so use caution.

Re: External Antenna?

I remember reading that someone had built one from a can, connector and wire, and it worked pretty good. Try searching this site.
