VZ6800 not ringing after reflash

Greetings all. I have a problem I have yet to resolve, I NEED HELP!

I reflashed my verizon 6800 successfully except it no longer rings. I can tell Im receiving a call, the incoming call icon is displayed. The screen even turns on if the device is off, but it does not ring, or vibrate. I am allowed to answer the calls when they come in, but I need to be looking at the device at the time...

It does beep to let me know I missed a call. And vibrate.

I upgraded the radio via oilpro and uploaded a ROM from PPC kitchen

Now what?

Did you check to make sure the volume is up and that the sound/notifications settings are turned on correct

Could be that one of the drivers was corrupt or something happened during the flash. I would go through the various settings to make sure that volume is up (several programs can turn this off in their settings). You may want to see if over-writing audiopara.csv with a newer version would help, or you may want to just reflash with that same rom or maybe another custom rom like DCD. I doubt anything was permanent due to a flash.

drewcam, yes the volume is up. I even attempted turing the slider back up during an incoming call, nothing.

Could this have anything to do with the file I used from PPC kitchen? When it asked me to pick a device I did, titan. It wanted me to pick a specific file to go with the device and I picked one at random...

if you want to upload your selections file, we might see something in there causing it.

otherwise, I know the nueWifi switch defaults to using the switch for ring on/off.

how do I upload files? Stop laughing... Im new to forums in general...

And, I played with the nue switch and set it to ringer on/off. still no ringing

did you slide the wifi switch into the "on" position?

Penguin.
Try installing a different phone dialer. Go back to the default dialer and see if it works then. If it works after that then play around with different dialers until you find one you like and it allows your phone to make the ringing sound.
Let me know if that works!

Have you gone to setting then personal then sounds and notifications then notifications to check if the ringer is right there.

I would reflash the unit again with different selections, although the kitchen program is not running at the moment, something about it cant find a system file.....

I can't believe this is such a conundrum! I would have thought this was a common problem. I plan to reflash ASAP. I will repost with results.
