You need BT on your PC and ActiveSync that should do it. You need to pair it with your PC and set the service to ActiveSync.

Let me add a bit more clarification in case that did not entirely make sense...
Without the phone attached to the PC, Go into ActiveSync on your PC and choose File/Connection Settings. There is an option midway down that say Allow Connections To. I had to put a check box in this. My only choice was COM4, yours may be different. On the PPC-6800, go to ActiveSync and chose "Menu/Connect To Bluetooth" You'll get some warnings, but ignore them. My starting syncing after that. Be sure to disconnect after you are finished syncing (that was one of the warnings) otherwise you'll eat battery life on both your phone and PC. |

I have been wrestling with this same issue. No matter what I do to finalize the partnership it doesnt want to go. After I pair with my pc by setting the password I have to setup the com port on my PC. I have tried both client and server and both have the same result, no sync partnership.
Basically I just get stuck in a loop with the error "Cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a pc that supports ActiveSync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?" I have both my pc and mogul setup for COM 2. -Dan |
