Build quality can be pretty bad for the Sprint variant -- the worst I've ever seen for
any HTC device. My first TP was actually perfect, except the keyboard lights flickered out and died. Then I got the second -- and the two sliding halves are crooked from the factory (never EVER dropped), and it has uneven keys and a burned-in looking band along the bottom of the yellowish screen. It creaks and groans when you move it around, and the keys on the face are a completely different material and color than the screen surround. It, like all the others, was brand new... and this one had a build date of Christmas day. The third is a tad bit better than the second, with no crookedness or burned-in band, but the screen goes absolutely haywire when you open or close the keyboard. A call to Sprint reveals that this is a known "video ribbon" issue that requires device replacement under warranty. Myeh.
Now, my AT&T Fuze is nearly perfect. No issues except a somewhat difficult to manage GPS (my Sprint TPs are MUCH easier in this regard). It has spectacular battery life (easily 3 times what I get on the Sprint variant) and it never EVER overheats (all three of my Sprints do). I'm not really a fan of the Diamond back cover used on the Fuze, but then again, how often will I look at the back of the phone? LOL....
So, to be completely honest, the Mogul was actually a pretty awesome device, especially from a build quality perspective. If only it had more RAM, so Oxios Memory Suite wasn't necessary, I probably wouldn't have moved on to the TP. OH, and speaking of, Oxios doesn't work properly on the TP for some reason... and coming from the Mogul, it is definitely hard to break the habit....
Anyway, give Advanced Tech Support a call, and they should be able to hook you up. Just be aware, the TP isn't perfect (though it is pretty damn awesome)....
