When you say it sees other networks around, do you mean other wifi networks? Or the phone starts trying to connect to the EVDO network?
Is your router using a unique SSID? If you're using a default SSID like "linksys" I can see the phone trying to connect to other "linksys" if it lost signal from your "linksys", for example. To copy files over wifi, you could use file explorer to copy to a remote share. Or you could set up activesync via wifi and use windows explorer on your pc to copy files (probably many other ways to do it, but those are pretty simple built in ways). |

I get this when connected to my home network too, but it just show available networks and does not try to connect me to them. I believe you have an option to not show again when one of these networks is available.

I have a unique SSID and a unique WEP code. I have actually been using an unactivated Mogul so it hasn't been trying to go to EV-DO it actually drops my connection on my router and begins trying to connect to other routers around (with and without encryption).

That's kind of interesting. My phone stays on its assigned network and never pops up the list of other networks (unless it can't find its assigned network).
I wonder if it could be something with the access point, I'm using DD-WRT on a Linksys WRTSL54GS. |
