But I had to ERASE the reg string and write a new one....b4 i did that it wasn't working

Thanks for sharing. I just set this on mine and it looks good. There's still a short gap between the progress bar and the WM splash screen - an all white 'flash' for maybe a second, if that. I do run a few progs on startup, so that might be slowing things down, or that might be unrelated, I don't know.

Anyway thanks for the gif!

Yeah, I have that same gap of white between the animated gif and the Windows Mobile splash screen. Since it only lasts a second, I didn't really see the need to fix the animated gif to cover the gap. I may take another look at it though if enough people are interested.

I made them 3 splash screens awhile ago was able to place the SCARFACE as a test on my Mogul and it worked.. Now that i made The Savior and tried to change it..

It doesn't work.. but please do try it out and let me know if it worked for I would love to know your or some1 else is enjoying it

I changed the registry key successfully, but when I start up the phone, the custom GIF never shows, just holds out on the very first sprint screen until the windows mobile splash shows up... my custom GIF is 55kb, is that a problem?

Well I made a non-animated GIF that was 6kb, so the size isnt it, anyone now why after changing the registry to point to a new GIF wouldnt be working?

I don't remember exactly since this thread is old, but IIRC it was recommended to name your animated image with the name of the original file and then overwrite the stock image so no registry change is needed.
