Carrier/Operator Name Dissapears?!?!

Can anyone help me out? I'm using my own cooked ROM from PPCKitchen (but Ive used and tried this trick with other ROMS). Somehow, when I go to RegEdit to edit my Current Operator Name key it has no name in it.

So when I enter the name in, wait about 30-60 seconds (varies, of course) and do a soft reset, it just goes back to being blank.

Can anyone help me please?
