Re: Sprint Mogul: Boot time of 2:45 ?
Check the windows/startup folder. There may be some other programs that you dont know about taking up start up time. And like the ones before, limit the items on the today screen. Quick menu and diary tend to take up quite a bit on boot. move them to your start menu and launch them after boot.

Thanks all of you. I guess its a trade off between having pocket plus/diary/quick menu for convenience post boot and boot time

Re: Sprint Mogul: Boot time of 2:45 ?
An update: I uninstall Sprint mobile email and the phone now runs very zippy. None of those lethargic responses. I also set up nightly jobs of notification queue clean up and the temp file clean up.
All the programs I have mentioned are the ones I need. There is this one annoyance which if resolved could save me a boot time of 30 secs. What happens is that when the phone boots and loads of the today screen in around 2:15 minutes, after 30 seconds, the today screen refreshes again. I cant figure out which start up component/service is doing that. Any ideas? I had this HTC Home today plugin which I uninstalled but it didnt seem to have uninstalled properly. In the today screen setting i still see a tab for HTM Home. Could it be that? Last edited by bones20; 03-06-2009 at 09:22 PM. |
