-when attempting to connect via bluetooth I get a message on my notebook that my device has rejected the request

I'm confused
According to Primenall above your not supposed to switch it to "Phone as a Modem".

Yes I know, however, others had claimed better results on speed tests using phone as modem so I gave it a try, just like how some reported bluetooth dun was always working

Well I've used both PAM and PCS and haven't noticed a speed difference at all, I haven't did it for awhile because I think Sprint would see this right away, and maybe take action. I'm actually tethering with PAM right now just to check it out again.

Here's how I make it work......

Go to start/settings
click on connections tab
click on the connections Icon
click on manage existing connections
select Phone as modem option

Now just follow the instructions in the other post exactly except...instead of the Usb PCS option select Usb PAM.

When you first connect with IE it should say Phone as Modem in the pop up balloon.

Use at own risk of charges... Posted Via PAM LOL

As far as I can tell by examining the entries in the phone, "Phone as Modem" and "Sprint PCS" are identical. They both execute exactly the same set of parameters for their respective data calls. As far as I can tell, to the Sprint Network they are indistinguishable. Keep in mind that the name of the communications entry is never actually transmitted to the network.

I edited the WModem registry keys and I can connect fine using SprintPCS. However I get disconnected constantly. I don't tether much, but it's really annoying when it happens.

Hey Nice Sol.

Anyways, I was tethering two weekends ago by just disabling the NAI and my bill will come out next week so I will confirm if I was charged or not for it. A side effect I did notice (at least on my phone)....when the phone would go into sleep mode, it would not accept incoming texts or phone calls....as soon as I hit the power button to wake it up, the phone would ring and then say missed call....or like 4 or 5 missed texts would come in. Has anyone else exprienced this? Before I did the NAI disable, phone calls and texts would come in normally whether the phone was asleep or not. So I re-enabled the NAI and the phone started working normally again. Perhaps I am just crazy here.
