The weak volume is a deal breaker on this phone. Very bad.

I can vouch that the earpiece volume and also via bluetooth sucks on my 6800...my 6700 was fine...

My 6800 sounds loud enough. The volume is slightly lower than Samsung A920, and about the same level as Treo 700P. Also, 6800 is way louder than any GSM PDAphones or dull phones I've used. I'm actually quite happy with 6800 volume and in fact, the earpiece volume was one of the main reasons I moved from HTC Trinity to 6800.

I've noticed on occasion while using the handset that the volume fades to a point where the other person is barely audible. It's almost as if the person on the other end has moved away from their phone and is talking from across the room (for lack of a better description). It's sporadic and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it and it happens no matter what my volume is set on. The only way to fix it seems to be a soft reset. Anyone else having similar issues?
