confused

I am having led woes on my mogul - a couple days ago my left led was a constant orange and now my right led is solid orange unless charging and then its green :(. It's odd and annoying.

I assume I am having a hardware problem (as the left light when orange was blinking in a non-constant manner at times..) but thinking this program might save me from a return kit.

Thanks for all the cool stuff guys, this site rocks!

So I figured out whats happening. After a soft reset the light stays off. Once it goes to sleep and I wake it the LED starts flashing again. I tested it 3 times and after a soft reset the "InstallNotification.mscr" is missing from the Notification Queue.

I installed it by running the file in my LED killer folder and I also added it manually through memmaid and it dissapeared both times.

LED Killer 2.0 Released

Refer to the 1st post and follow all uninstall instructions for older versions.

So far it's not working automatically. I had to manually run LEDoff the first time, and it came back on within a couple of minutes. Turning it off and on has no effect.

TurboFool,

On the 2.0 version, does it not startup automatically after every reboot or only after the 1st one?

TurboFool 07-11-2007 01:25 PM

It didn't even start up after the first one. When I first installed it the lights went out immediately after installation. I soft reset it, and when it was fully up and running the lights were still blinking. I hit the power button, waited a few seconds, hit it again to turn it back on, and the lights were still blinking. I let them blink for a while, then tried again. Eventually I went into Program Files and ran LEDoff myself which worked... for a few minutes. They started back up again when it was turned off.

So so far it seems to work only when run manually.

TurboFool,

The only issue I ran into was that the first reboot after installing did not stop the service LED. I rebooted one more time and it started working (go figure). If you have done that and went through the other troubleshooting steps then I am at a loss as to what's causing it to flash. I suspect you have some app or setting somewhere that neither Cody or I have seen causing it to override LED Killer.

Hi Stroth,

Mine doesn't automatically start either after multiple reboot. My LEDS also blink when I manually hit the power button to sleep and wake.

I checked my Memaid notifcations queue and LEDoff is there. I have since then just assigned LED off to a hardbutton and it seems to work fine like that.

Here's what I have installed. Hopefully this list will help with your development:

eWallet
IM+
Memaid
Mortplayer
MusicID
Regedit
phoneAlarm (maybe this is an issue? similar to iLock issue?)
pocketRAR
ThreadedSMS
Spb Weather
HTC Streaming Media
HTC Comm Manager
UPX4PPC
WoW Vibrate
Windows Live Search

Without going into my list of software, the only two programs I have in common with Ph33zy are Regedit and TheadedSMS.

stroths 07-11-2007 04:25 PM

Thanks for the list Ph33zy.

PhoneAlarm might be an issue as it has the ability to control the LED. Does PhoneAlarm work in the background if you uncheck the plugin from your today screen? If not, try unchecking it, reboot and see if it makes any difference.

We may have to go a different direction with an app that stays in resident memory and runs every x seconds to ensure it works for everyone, but we shall see.
