I was just curious, I've heard rumors that they are out of 6800s. The tech original offered to replace my 6800 with an i760 from the warehouse because he said they couldn't get anymore 6800s. I don't want a i760, the screen is smaller and the camera has a lower resolution.

Are the warehouses out of 6800s and if they are, what should I expect as a replacement?

tech said nothing to me about being out, i will see what i get on wed; if i have to call again after i get this device i will ask

According to the rep on the phone, Verizon (not Asurion) is out of new 6800s, but they have plenty of refurbished phones to use as warranty replacements. He said I would be receiving a refurbished 6800.

Wow. All the buttons on the front of my 6800 stopped working yesterday. The lights work but they don't work. I reflashed and everything. No water damage either. Looks like I'll have to play the lemon game to get a working phone.

Alright so I just got off the phone with Verizon. They looked and my account and questioned me like they always do about where I got the device. I was honest and told them from a friend. So he talked to his manager (a woman) and she said she would feel bad about leaving me with a broken device so they'll replace it.

I checked out XDA and HTC. It looks like the overheating issues and white spot issues can cause the buttons to stop functioning as well. So if you have a white spot get it replaced before that happens.

Wow, I thought they were going to bend you over again like they did when you first were trying to get a 68. Glad it worked out this time. But being you got one from them now I guess you should be ok from here on out......

Yeah. Well, I charged my battery to full and now the buttons work. But the phone no longer rings or vibrates. I called them up to tell them they better not charge me since the buttons worked and they were real understanding. We'll see how long that lasts... Verizon has proved they can't be trusted...

just got my replacement phone, flashed it all up and activated it...only to notice that half the pixels are dead. my background is supposed to be black but it looks like a dotted rainbow
