yahoo mail probs on verizon

ok i searched and tried everything so i have to post this. just today my yahoo started not letting me send emails anymore.
"The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try again"
it was auto configured and i can recieve but not send. Gmail works fine. what the heck is going on here?
