tethering woes - usb and bt - it's a success after all!!

I have an HP 9000T laptop loaded with Vista; I downloaded latest version of Microsoft Mobile Device Center 6.1. I can successfully pair up the Mogul and the laptop. I can only get Activesync, handsfree and stereo bluetooth services. I can't get Internet Sharing to run properly using either usb or BT. I randomly get two errors - device cannot connect or vision username and password error.

Others have reported success and I've really struggled for an entire day!

Any suggestions? Will the old usbmodem or wmodem files work? Where do I get them?

Nevermind!! I finally got tethering to work on both USB and BT & Internet Sharing. The secret: make sure you run pocket internet explorer on the Mogul before you hit "connect" on the Internet Sharing app. I had the most difficult time before reading a post on pdaphonehome about someone starting PIE before running Internet Sharing. I said - why not give it a try and by golly it actually works!

DSLReports speed tests confirm the obvious - USB tethering is faster than BT [588 k/bps] v. [422 k/bps]. I'm sooooo happy!
