Bluetooth headset help...........

I just picked up my 6800, and switched from a 700p. As many of you may know starting 7/1/07 in california using your handset while driving = ticket. so i was tyring to use my jabra 250 which worked fine on my 700p on my new 6800. I got the two to pair up but for some reason when i try to use it there's no sound on the bluetooth piece. the phone actually dials out and you here a beep on the bluetooth ear piece but no sound . can anyone help me solve this problem?
