Re: WIFI problem?
There have been a few offical ROMs that have WiFi, Bluetooth, or alarm problems. I would reccomend using a custom ROM. They almost always have the bugs worked out. You will need to unlock the device and flash a radio and then a ROM. Check the Titan Upgrade sections for how to go about doing this.

Re: WIFI problem?
That just seems to me like something HTC would have worked out completely. It acts like it wants to work, but refuses to. Is there anything you can think of then a custom rom (that probably voids any sort of warranty, not that I'm real concerned)?
Is there a particular rom that you would suggest? |

Re: WIFI problem?
Alright, I tried using the SPL-2.40.Olipro to unlock the phone, and I think I f*****g bricked it. I follwed the instructions exactly, but it won't boot. All it does is show the three color screen. HELP!!!!!

Also, this may seem like a stupid question, but did you change the hardware wifi switch on the side of the device to on for your wifi? |

Re: WIFI problem?
Ah yes, you were right... I had to reload the ROM from HTC's site, got it back up and running.
I tried both the nue-spl2.47 and the Olipro to unlock it, and both failed to do so. The olipro couldn't seem to disconnect right and would leave me reloading the HTC rom back on the device, and the NUE rom just gave me some fatal error--either way, I don't care about getting a new rom on the device unless that's the only fix. Yes, I did make sure the switch on the side of the device was on. Could it be that my router is too new? Its a Linksys rangeplus router... it can broadcast in wireless-n (which I know the mogul doesn't support) but it does B and G as well. ... I could go to sprint, but judging by a new thread, the mogul is way backordered, and its not that important. |

Re: WIFI problem?
I'm glad that you recovered.
Make sure you also have wifi enabled in the comm manager. Do you get the blinking green light indicating it's on? I take it that you don't live in the city? If I just turn my wifi switch on, I get like 8 networks to choose from. One way to rule out a proble with your wireless router. Although, if you live in rural area, maybe a drive by starbucks or mcdonald's even... If you can describe the problem you had with NueSPL, I might be able to help. I found it rather easy to use. Did you have a green check next to all of the prerequisites? Are you sure you were using the unlocker and not the locker? |

Re: WIFI problem?
Yes, the blinking green light comes on. It will say it is searching for available networks, but will find nothing. I am fairly convinced at this point that it may very well be the router and I'll try again when I get back to school.
Haha no, I don't live in the city, but I'm heading back to school tomorrow so I'll be able to try it out there and let you know? I don't remember exactly what happened with nuespl... I put the memory card in, and it had to format it for me, which it did then gave me all green checkmarks. It started, didn't look like it was doing much, never restarted/prompted me with anything till a dialog came up that said "fatal error!" I would assume it was the unlocker, it came from a site that I was referred to from ppcgeeks with detailed instructions to unlock a mogul/titan... |

Re: WIFI problem?
Olipro leaves you in bootloader mode always. Now you can hold down the power button the camera button and put you stuls in reset hole all at once then get back to that same bootloader screen. If it says some like "Oplipro 2.40" then you're good or "No2Chem 2.47". Flash a radio then flash a ROM. And voiding warrenty is the stupidest thing to be woried about. It is so easy to re-lock and re-flash to stock.

Re: WIFI problem?
Yeah, I got it to say Olipro 2.40, but no matter what, I would NOT go away from the bootloader screen. I tried the photo+power+reset, and just reset, and pulling the battery, and about every other button combination, and it didn't work. Who knows, maybe it was my error, but after 4 tries, I gave up.
Yeah, and now that I realize how easy it is to go back to square one, I'm not worried about it anymore. |
