I can't believe I did not remember this... WeatherPanel IS to blame. If anyone had a WM Treo, you may remember what happens when you use the Default theme and then place a call... that's right, you get the blocky text from my first issue, it's just smaller and that's why I did not see the resemblance.
On the second time, it uses another font from WP's default theme as well... I guess it was random which one was picked. Just remove both TTF files from the Marsware\WeatherPanel\Themes\Default folder and the text will go back to normal!!! Thanks for a user at XDA for remind me of this!
