I have it mapped to my voice recorder key so when I press and hold I get a flashlight.

One of my favorite apps!

htc home customizer

Anyone having issues with this? When I install it after a hard reset it works fine, but after I loaded the xv6800 up with some programs it gives me an error and will not open. It's definitely a program conflict but I have not been able to isolate it. I really like the app and would like to use it but I'm tired of hard resetting. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I filed a bug report here:

Thanks,

Re: Compatible and Uncompatible Applications Thread

pocket nes works fine, as well as pocket gnuboy for gameboy emulation I found with both that if you switch to landscape before you open the emulator it does not rotate the d-pad to the wrong direction (neither supports landscape) then you can map buttons to the keyboard, and both allow two buttons to be pressed at the same time i.e. you can run.... and jump. neither would allow this on my vogue, wonder if there is something different going on with the slide out keboard.

Re: Compatible and Uncompatible Applications Thread

I had a big problem with Virtual Earth Mobile. First of I couldn't get the GPS to work but after a while of fidgeting with it I realized that it was messing up my start menu...

what happens is the icons around virtual earth mobile's icon in the start menu start to duplicate until the list becomes so large that you have to press arrows on it to scroll through it and it also turns white and blanks out the names of the programs.

It resets whenever you make a change to the start menu (i.e. removing a program from the list) or reset the device but it the problem persisted until i finally uninstalled the app....

kinda sad thought it would be fun to play with but not at the expense of my start menu

Virtual Earth locks up my device whenever I run it. As soon as I click the link it locks up. Only thing I can do is soft reset.

Re: Compatible and Uncompatible Applications Thread

I have all the following programs installed AND working on my HTC Mogul (Titan):
  • MemMaid (cleans your phone, reclaims usage memory)
  • Opera Mini for mobile phones (an alternative internet browser)
  • Visual Zoom IT (magnifies whatever is on your screen)
  • S2U2 (locks your screen and prevents accidental touches and calls)
  • iFonz (an interface to make your WM device look like an iPhone )
  • Sunnysoft Contacts (an alternative to the standard PIM)
  • PPCBckpContacts (backs up the all the contacts on your phone to your microSD card)
  • Pocket PC Contacts Syncronizer (syncs your contacts to your pc w/out MS Outlook)
  • HTC Home (a Today screen plugin, with access to the weather, and a large digital clock)
  • HTC Home Customizer (allow you to customize HTC Home)
  • AE Button Plus (allows you to change the setup of your soft keys etc)
  • Eye On Privacy (locks your contacts, phone functions etc)
  • SPB Full Screen Keyboard (useful if your dont have access to a slide out keyboard, like the HTC Touch)
  • PhoneAlarm (a Today screen plugin that changes your phone profiles)
  • pTravelAlarm (an alarm clock program i use for multiple reminders like eBay bids, street cleaning etc)
  • Delmar Alarm Clock (a large digital alarm clock)
  • Palm Threaded SMS (allows you to read your SMS/text messages like an IM)
  • Weather Watcher (gives you a fully detailed weather forecast)
  • Memory-Map Weather Radar (a weather doppler, like you see on the news)
  • iGo/OnCourse GPS navigation (fully functioning GPS software, not the crap the cell phone companies sell you)
  • MioMap GPS Navigation (same as iGo but with text-to-speech directions, a memory hog)
  • BeeJiveIM (all-in-one instant messenger software including MySpace IM, Google Talk, AOL IM, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Windows Live etc)
  • Bluetooth Remote Control (allows you to use your phone to control programs on your laptop like iTunes, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, PowerDVD)
  • GigaSoft Animated Today (allows you to embed a flash file on your Today Screen)
  • Tempus v13 (a Today Screen plugin that looks like the HTC Diamond clock)
  • youtubeplay (just like it sounds, it plays and can download YouTube videos)
  • Sling Player Mobile (streams a live feed from my digital cable box w/dvr and 200 disc dvd player at the house)
  • TCPMP (multimedia player which plays various video formats)
  • iSecretary (literally an answering machine for your phone)
  • mRing (assigns ringtones to your contacts and sets profiles)
  • Mixx Mobile (mixes audio files together)
  • TimeLogger (a timebiller for your clients)
  • Omega One 1-Calc (the best looking multi functioning calculator)
  • Resco Explorer
  • TPSW Bluetooth Audio
  • Mobirate Billard Master 3
  • Masterkick
  • SimbSoft Table Tennis
  • Grind Street Domino
  • Hot Death Uno
  • Spades
  • Midway Hot Hoops
  • ZIOGolf 2
the only issue i have is when i'm running OnCourse or MioMap... the phone will tend to lock up when it runs out of "running program memory"... also for accessories, i suggest any rubberized case for protection against drops (looks good) and a Motorola S9 bluetooth headset

enjoy

Re: Compatible and Uncompatible Applications Thread

OK I just did the Upgraded ROM for Windows Mobile 6.1 and now my old HTC Customizer locked my phone up yesterday to where I had to take it to sprint and get it fixed, LOL! Can anybody tell me what customizer program I can load to custom my today screen and stuff? You can email me at Sophisticated821@yahoo.com. THANKS ~
